The Houston Rockets are a team in the National Basketball Association in Houston, Texas. They play their home games at the Toyota Center. They began playing in the NBA in 1967 and were originally known as the San Diego Rockets from 1967 to 1971.
Hakeem Olajuwon was a star player for the Rockets. He lead them to their first NBA championship in 1994. They repeated as champions in 1995. Yao Ming was also a star player for the Rockets.
