Hans Luther (10 March 1879 – 11 May 1962) was a German politician. He was among others Chancellor of Germany.

Luther was born in Berlin and started in politics by becoming a town councillor in Magdeburg. From 1918 to 1922 he was mayor of Essen.

In 1922 he became government minister of food and agriculture, and in 1925 minister of finance.

From January 1925 to May 1926 he was Chancellor. During a brief period he was also acting President.

Luther was heading the Reichsbank from 1930 to 1933 and subsequently being ambassador in the United States from 1933 to 1937.
