Chesley Sullenberger

Chesley Burnett "Sully" Sullenberger, III (born January 23, 1951) is an American pilot and writer. He is known for saving US Airways Flight 1549 that successfully landed in the Hudson River in New York City.

Sullenberger was born on January 23, 1951[1] in Denison, Texas. He is married to Lorraine Sullenberger. He has two daughters.

A movie about Sullenberger's heroic flight, Sully by Clint Eastwood has been released in 2016. Tom Hanks plays Sullenberger.
