The 2022 FIFA World Cup is the 22nd FIFA World Cup that will be hosted in Qatar. In May 2011, FIFA officials were accused of being corrupt during the bidding process, and the event raised questions. Some believed that Qatar got the World Cup through bribes from Mohammed bin Hammam who was the Asian Federation Confederation president. Qatar denied all of the rumors. In May 2014, Sepp Blatter admitted that giving the FIFA World Cup to Qatar was a mistake.[1]
